Chris worked in Engineering Branch. I knew him from my days at Paddington.
He was well liked and respected.
He always looked happy!

Wow, Acro has passed away!
I still remember going skiing with Chris and some of the Eng guys. Still laugh when I remember driving up to the snow fields from Sydney, Chris got out of the car in the snow wearing thongs and marched to the bar.
Cheers

Very sad news.
Chris was my apprentice and worked with me for years in Paddington and also as a supervisor when I was OIC Engineering at Paddo.

How sad.
I have very fond memories of Chris from the Moree 2 job in 1982.
Chris had all the lurks worked out! He sought out the scrap metal buyer in town, organised for all the excess cable and wire to be burnt so as to remove the insulation, and used the proceeds to buy grog for one of the many final-wrap parties.
He drove a high powered black Holden at the time, and on one trip back from Sydney to Moree we got booked with him driving at about 130kph.
Chris was very much the social organiser and made those away jobs so much more fun.

I worked with Chris …. enjoyed every second, loved his sense of humor/life & work ethic. This is very sad news….
This man would step in front of a Bus or Train to save another ….
Care, love & thoughts to family, colleagues, & Friends

I started working with Chris in 1981 in Engineering Branch, I was a first year apprentice.
Chris always had that dry whit, which always made us all laugh.
He was always first to help out, sadly missed.
