I well remember Ted Bastow from my time in the SOR. He was good company. Sadly, as with most things, time & tide wait for no man

I was very sad to hear that Ted Bastow had passed away. Over the many OTC years our lives touched each other often, both with OTC and then with our local PROBUS club – Gray and I, together with Ted and Marilyn, shared many memories and laughs.
A man with a great sense of humour, in spite of his ill health. I know he will be greatly missed.
Would appreciate you passing on my condolences and love to Marilyn and his family.
Thanks Peter.

Peter, please pass on my sincere condolences to Wayne and families for the passing of his dad, Ted.
I, as Manager of the Operations and General Training Centre, worked with Ted for 15 years in training and always found him to be a great help whenever required.
I remember Ted as being in charge of the overseas people training in Sydney who were quite an interesting crew, especially those from Papua New Guinea. We were always very good friends right back to the S.O.R. days.
May the Lord be kind to him and give strength to his family at this sad occasion.
Best regards,
Robert and Margaret van Gestel
Sad to hear of the passing of Ted Bastow. I worked with Ted at Sydneyradio La Perouse in the early ’70’s and spoke with him often via amateur radio. My deepest condolences to Ted’s family.
May he rest in peace.
Kind regards,
