It seems like only yesterday but it was in fact in mid-1985 that George Maltby volunteered Kevin and me to serve as “minders” to Bill Schmidt whilst he did consultancy work in Ghana and Guyana following his retirement.
Kevin was a wonderfully entertaining and unflappable travelling companion.
I’ll always remember his dry sense of humour as we went from one adventure to the next. It was tested to the limit when he paid a terrible price for being just a tad too adventurous in his choice of dinner one evening in a town called Cape Coast in Ghana!
Fortunately the OTC nurse had sent us off with an adequate supply of medication for just such an emergency!

My recollection of Kevin is his unique, dry and sharp wit.
He was liked by his colleagues without exception.
He was a great friend of Dave Charret, who particularly related to Kevin’s sense of humour .
We will miss Kevin. We all appreciated his dry, off-beat, quircky comments.

Sad to hear of Kevin’s passing.
I remember him well as a member of Rostrum Club 18. He was an entertaining speaker, and pleasant guy.
I think he was introduced to the club by another engineer, Alan Cabrera.

I worked for Kevin in Network Arrangements for quite a while in the Eighties. Kevin was a nice bloke. I liked him.
