Ray was not a financial member of the OTVA but I have been advised of his passing last week.
Apparently he worked in the Accounts Branch for many years.

My good friend Tony Farrugia, ex Accountant at OTC, gave me the following tribute to Ray Peacock:
I had some dealing with Ray for a few years.
He was assistant to Fred Hinds our OTC, first Auditor.
Ray moved to Accounts payable and the Claims Section. He did also a small assignment in PNG as a clerk, just before PNG got independence in 1973.
Ray initially studied medicine but somehow dropped out. He was very good at figures.
He was a very likeable fellow and always had a good joke. He was married to a very nice lady called Val, and they had one son.
It was always enjoyable seeing Ray as he would undoubtedly make you laugh and “stir the pot”, as he had a very good sense of humor.
He and Val would regularly came and watch us play Rugby League at Rushcutters’ Bay oval, and join us in the celebrations after the matches.
Ray was also, if I recall correctly a St George/Dragon supporter.
He was a gentleman.
I have fond memories of Ray, may he rest in peace.
I agreeD with Tony that Ray was a very nice man and a gantleman.
