I am writing to inform you of the death of Phil Harris (Rockbank, Fiskville, Moree, Ceduna, Guam, Cairns, Bringelly).
Dad had been in declining health for the last year – since the death of my mother Thelma – and had been in residential care in Castlemaine for the last two months.
As per the notice in The Age today, he died on Wednesday 13/5. There will be no funeral or memorial services in accordance with his wishes.

Hi Peter, thanks for this. I began my time in Melbourne in 1966 and did my first field training from Melbourne DCA at Rockbank where Phil Harris was manager. Fond memories of Phil who corrected my first assignment with a big red texta when I spelt receiving with the e and i around the wrong way every time. Last saw him in a petrol station in Ceduna as we drove through in 1981. A true gentleman and a real part of what made OTC what I remember so fondly.
